Training Session with John Maclean

There are countless stories of inspiration surrounding Ironman, however possibly the greatest of all is that of John Maclean . Ironman Western Australia is proud to be associated with the John Maclean Foundation as title sponsor of the JMF Teams Event, and we are delighted that John will be joining us in Busselton for the fifth anniversary of Ironman WA.
In 1988, John became paraplegic following an accident while out training on his bike. Already a promising rugby player, John re-defined his goals and he has spent the past twenty years continually achieving the remarkable; apart from being the first wheelchair athlete to finish the Hawaii Ironman, John has completed the English Channel swim, the Molokai Ocean Challenge, the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and, most recently, he was a silver medallist at the 2008 Paralympics.
We invite all Ironman WA athletes, friends and family to come along and meet John at the Official Swim Training Session (details below). Please bring a $10 donation which will go directly to the John Maclean Foundation, whose mission is to inspire, motivate and enable physically challenged kids to chase their dreams and live life to the fullest.
