FIRSTOFFTHEBIKE – NEW WEB SERVICE FOR TRIATHLON AND ROAD CYCLING

A new web service for triathlon and road cycling, firstoffthebike.com was conceived as an antidote to the predictability of existing `official’ websites focused on triathlon and road cycling. The team behind firstoffthebike wanted to take a few more risks with content – including expression of sometimes outrageous but generally entertaining opinions - while also providing some of the bread and butter facts required to keep people coming back to the site (news, race reports, race previews and results). The blog is worth a read for shock value alone!

As preparations continue for the Snap Ironman 70.3 Geelong Triathlon, the crew at firstoffthebike.com took Mum’s handicam down to Geelong to shoot some footage of the course. The guys give athletes a bird’s eye view of the course layout and talk through some of the tough spots. Pack the crackers, ‘cause this gets cheesy!!

In other news from firstoffthebike.com, Graeme Brown talks about his career on the eve of this week’s Tour Down Under, Craig Alexander tells of his Ironman Hawaii experience and Belinda Granger reflects on her tri year.

Get on!
