PARKING ON RACE WEEKEND
Saturday – for Registration (12pm – 4pm)
Limited parking will be available near the Sailing Club (west end of Ritchie Boulevard). Competitors are advised to park to the east of Ironman Village (Eastern Beach Reserve) along Hearne Parade, and in the streets “above” Ironman Village – eg Bellerine, Swanston, Fitzroy and Gardens Streets and other side streets in this area
Sunday – Race Day
Competitors are advised to park on Hearne Parade and Podbury Crescent in the Botanical Gardens area on Race morning. Please note - cars parked in these areas will be locked in until the race finishes – ie roads re-open at 2.30pm
Parking is also available in side streets at the top of Eastern Beach Reserve – there is plenty of street parking in Bellerine, Swanston, Fitzroy and Gardens Streets and other side streets in this area.

ELITE ATHLETES PUBLIC PRESS CONFERENCE AT FARMERS MARKET
A selection of the Snap Ironman 70.3 Geelong’s elite triathletes – Luke McKenzie, Kate Major, Rebekah Keat and Chris Legh - will be attending an open air ‘Public Media Conference’ at the Central Geelong Farmers Market on Saturday at 10.30am.
All competitors and friends are welcome to attend. Come and show Geelong what our sport is all about.
The Farmers Market is located on Little Malop Street Central, between Moorabool & Yarra Streets and operates every second Saturday from 8:30am till 12:30pm.
Before or after the conference you can roam amongst the 25 stalls currently operating out of the market and sample some of the region's finest fresh produce and unique gourmet treats.
There's also plenty of live entertainment, with various bands playing music as well as a FREE miniature animal farm and a face painting stall for the kids.
SNAP IRONMAN 70.3 VILLAGE, EXPO & KIDS FOUNDATION ENTERTAINMENT AREA
Bring the family to our kid friendly entertainment area in the Snap Ironman 70.3 Village at Eastern Beach, Geelong Waterfront all day on Saturday 9 February and until 3.00pm on Race Day.
With plenty of food, exhibitors and entertainment for the kids there is something for everyone The KIDS Foundation are the Official Charity and will benefit from all proceeds in the entertainment area. The Snap Ironman 70.3 Geelong is a 3-lap race and there will be plenty of space for viewing the Event in the amphitheatre style environment, but if things do get a little hot why not go for a quick dip in the beautiful family friendly sea pool

Geelong and the Surf Coast Region’s own TV Channel GOTV is getting right behind Sunday’s Snap Ironman 70.3 Geelong.

FLORIDA SLOTS AND ROLLDOWN
Ironman 70.3 Geelong is an Official Qualifier for the 2008 Ford Ironman 70.3 World Championship to be held in Florida, USA in November 2008. Seventy-five (75) qualifying slots for the World Championship will be awarded in Geelong
Initial acceptance of slots – 3.00pm to 4.00pm at the Deakin Uni Geelong Waterfront Campus ( Cnr Gheringhap St & Western Beach Rd). The full fee of US$275 is due at the time of claiming your slot
Acceptance & Rolldown Ceremony – will be held immediately after the Awards Presentation at approx 5pm

Getting to Geelong for interstate athletes is now very easy with Avalon Airport just 15 minutes away from Geelong City centre.
